The 3rd Annual Sheep River Health Trust Radiothon took place Wednesday on Eagle 100.9. This year, over the course of 13 hours The Eagle 100.9 along with The Sheep River Health Trust raised $54,542.50. Big goals were in mind this year, and in the currrent state of the Alberta economy, the community came together and stepped up to support health and wellness in the Foothills.

The Sheep River Health Trust supports different wellness initiatives for Foothills residents and families.

This year the organizations the radiothon helped directly were:

Lemonade Day

Healthy Moms, Healthy babies

It Takes A Village

Kid Sport

Okotoks Wellness Center

Foothills SNAPS

You can still sign up and become a Health Hero for $12/month. It's a great way to support and donate all year round and 100 percent of the money raised stays local. The SRHT gives over $250,000 back into our local region every year. Becoming a Health Hero can provide training materials for six youth entrepreneurs for Lemonade Day, put a child in sports for one month, and purchase three baby boxes for the Baby Sleep Safe program through It Takes A Village.
