It's been a busy year for Livingstone-Macleod MLA Pat Stier.

He started the year as a member of the Wildrose Party and finished as a member of the United Conservative Party, and got a new party leader to boot.

"You know things are moving ahead very nicely with that.  We did choose a new leader (Jason Kenney) as well and now that new leader has been successful in getting a seat in the Legislature with this recent by-election. So we're just ramming along here and doing great. We're getting ready to put together some meetings on policy and getting ready for the election coming up in about 15 to 16 months."

Stier says 2017 also had it's down's as Wildfires in Waterton and Pincher Creek devastated some areas of his riding.
