This past weekend was packed with summer events in the Foothills, including the Priddis and Millarville Fair, a rodeo at Bar U Ranch as well as a charity dog walk in Okotoks.

The Priddis and Millarville Fair was held Saturday and Sunday, celebrating Alberta's agricultural history for its 110th year.

The fair featured the offerings of artists and artisans at the market and showcased antique farm equipment, cars and trucks. Visitors could take in horse riding events, participate in various contests and learn about Alberta's agricultural history.

Over at the Bar U Ranch on Sunday, the Old Time Rodeo featured the skills of cowboys from working ranches. The day kicked off with a morning ranch horse competition, followed by the rodeo in the afternoon.

In Okotoks Saturday, the first annual Dog Days of Summer dog walk saw dogs and their owners enjoy a stroll along the pathways through the Sheep River Valley. The event collected donations of cash and supplies for Okotoks Pound Rescue and Heaven Can Wait Animal Shelter.
