Between the Okotoks Tim Horton's Southridge North and South location $9,392.31 was raised in Okotoks for Tim Hortons Camp Day.

The money raised goes towards the Tim Horton's Foundation that send underprivileged youth to camp.

Westland Plaza Manager Marie Leason says there were different ways to donate.

"The profits of coffee sales through out the day were donated, we also sold bracelets this year and all the proceeds from those went towards the kids as well."

There was also windshield washing that people could donate to, or they could just donate out of the kindness of their hearts.

The day aims at bringing the community together for the common goal of sending kids to camp.

"They learn about bonding, leadership, group activities and team work, stuff that they may not necessarily get the opportunity to do," Leason says.

Leason says that Tim Horton's Foundation owns and operates 7 different camps.

"All funded by the Tim Horton's Foundation."
