RCMP detachments across Alberta will begin limited re-opening's of their front counter service starting this week.

The Okotoks detachment at the Southridge Emergency Services Building will be reopened to the public with some new rules in place starting Thursday, July 9.

Only one person will be allowed to be at the front counter at a time, with only one person allowed in the lobby and one in the doorway.

Those entering the building are asked to wear a mask and if they don't have a mask one will be provided for them.

Okotoks RCMP Sergeant Sukh Randhawa, says they have also changed some of the scheduling for other services

"Fingerprinting can only be done on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and for criminal record checks and other services people can call (403)995-6400 to have the necessary documents emailed to you."
