A 13-year-old girl from Okotoks will be seen on the small screen this Friday on the new show Wynonna Earp, airing on SyFy.

Anna Quick has been cast as the character young Willa Earp.

Quick says the show will be about bringing the paranormal to justice.

"Wynonna Earp is the great-granddaughter of the gunslinger from the US, Wyatt Earp," she says. "She took on the prophecy of killing the ghosts of the revenants that he killed before."

She says having a recurring role on set has taught her a lot.

"It's definitely been an amazing experience to be on set more than once and see all the different things. When you're an actor you watch other movies and TV shows and you really appreciate everything the crew, the writers, and the cast do."

Quick says working on set with the actors has been a wonderful experience.

"It's been incredible. I had a chance to work with Melanie Scrofano who's doing Wynonna, and Dominique Provost-Chalkley who's doing Waverly. It was such an experience, they're super sweet, and kind, it was amazing."

The show will premiere Apr. 1 at 8 p.m. MST on CHCH.com and on the SyFy Network in the US.
