As part of family violence prevention month, the Okotoks Family Resource Centre is reminding residents they're there to help.

Debbie Posey, community wellness manager, says the OFRC is a "one stop shop" for those needing assistance.

"It's where people can go and find out what the available services are in the community, where they can get help," she says. "It's really your first stop and they will connect you with whatever is available."

The OFRC has 100 per cent confidentiality for its clients.

According to Posey, the centre has strong ties with other organizations in the Foothills.

"It's a very unique kind of resource centre because they partner with health, they partner with children services and they're connected in the community to pretty much any resource that a person could want. We're very lucky in Okotoks to have the family resource centre."

A few of the groups they join with are the Rowan House Emergency Shelter, the Okotoks Food Bank, and the Salvation Army.
