It was a tasty success for Dairy Queen locations Thursday.

During Miracle Treat Day, all proceeds from blizzard sales went directly to the Children's Miracle Network supporting numerous care facilities.

Val Majeu of the Okotoks DQ says the amount of patrons coming to support them was phenomenal.

It was amazing," she says. "We really want to thank everyone that came out and supported this amazing cause with the Children's Miracle Network and more specifically the Calgary Children's Hospital for us."

Majue says her staff was kept busy throughout the day right up to closing time.

"We're donating over $7000, we sold over 1200 blizzards and it was absolutely amazing."

If you weren't able to help donate during Miracle Treat Day, Majue says you can still donate towards the Children's Miracle Network.

"We've got Children's Miracle Network buckets out, two big ones and then two smaller ones at the tills, and we accept year-round donations."
