Okotoks residents can now lace up their skates at a number of outdoor rinks in town.

The ODR's at Kinsmen Park, Ardiel Park, Cedar Grove Park, Suntree Park, and Hughes Park are now open.

The Town is asking residents to keep off the rinks when they're soft, such as after they've been flooded and on warmer days when the temperature's above zero.

Recreational skaters have the right of way over hockey games.

CSA approved helmets must be worn when hockey sticks are in hand.
