The Laurie Boyd Bridge Replacement Project was completed yesterday, and the bridge is now open for the public.

Connecting the river valley to the north side of town, the bridge is a very common part of many people's route through the scenic area.

The new bridge is much wider and has an increased load allowance.

It was also designed with flood water in mind, and should be able to withstand flood conditions.

The old bridge was removed on Thursday.

An official opening ceremony is scheduled for November 29th.
