Municipalities around the Foothills are starting to crunch their numbers as budgets will be coming due in the new year.

The Town of Nanton is no exception as they've started to move to multi-year budgets to reduce stress on their administration.

Mayor Rick Everett says they're still in the stage of trying to figure out exactly what's going to go into their Capital Budget and just how much it's going to cost.

"Right now some of the numbers are 'best guess' over the next three years. Council also had to choose on some priorities, and we did that so administration is coming back with some better numbers for us in two weeks time."

Everett says upgrades to 18 and 19 avenue and infrastructure issues around water are their top priorities for the Capital Budget in 2016.
