It seems High River Mayor Craig Snodgrass' comments, and a meeting between Highwood MLA Wayne Anderson and the new Municipal Affairs Minister may have paid off.

Danielle Larivee has released a statement that read's as follows:

“As someone who has lived through both flooding and forest fires in my hometown of Slave Lake, I understand how difficult it is to recover from a disaster. Albertans need to have confidence there is an effective, well-managed program they can turn to. It’s clear major changes need to be made to the Disaster Recovery Program. I have asked my staff to coordinate a meeting with the Mayor of High River and concerned homeowners and business owners as soon as possible so we can finally close the chapter on this traumatic event on their lives.”

Laura Tupper, with the minister's office, says they're working on holding a meeting with the DRP Advocacy Committee on Monday.
