Kidsport Okotoks will be receiving a generous donation to help fund their programs this coming year.

The 2nd Annual Mini Masters at the Crystal Ridge Golf Club used the green fees from their mini golf course on Wednesday and gave it directly to them.

Crystal Ridge Pro Greg Johnson says they reached their fundraising goal despite the weather early on in the day.

"We had a little blast of rain in the morning but it was great weather throughout the afternoon," he says. "We ended up raising $1000 for Kidsport Okotoks so once again we achieved our goal and we donated to a great cause."

Johnson says they're already getting ready for next's event and hope raise even more money for Kidsport.

"The money is just a general donation to Kidsport Okotoks, we really think that it's great that the money stays within the community and it actually benefits actual Okotoks residents so it's definitely a great cause I recommend that everybody comes out next year for the 3rd Annual Mini Masters."

The winner of the Mini Masters and a iPod Mini was 11 year old player Milo.
