The Town of Okotoks had a great and busy 2015.

Town Councillor, Matt Rockley, says that one of the biggest achievements for the town is kitty-corner from Seaman Stadium.

"Getting the Operation Centre up with the current times was a major undertaking in regards to fitting in all the vehicles and machinery they have." says Rockley.

However 2015 has been a year full of changes in the country and province.

Rockley says that 2015 has taught him that things change quite quickly, especially economically.

"Economic conditions can change quickly and it is important for councils to be flexible and be responsible when it comes to services at the end of the day."

Like his fellow Councillors, Rockley is hoping for the Calgary water pipeline to go through.

"If we can't have construction by the end of 2016, which might be ambitious, at least we will have a funding source secured and a lot of the design work done."
