A family that farms south of Frank Lake, east of High River, is working to get the crop off before the weather turns sour.

Lori Jones says they're still recovering after the farm was deluged during the 2013 flood.

"When the flood came through all of our cattle were down there so they had to quickly get all the fences open and get them out," she says. "Certainly learned that steers could swim because even though they tried to get them out of the valley the steers kept going back into the valley to swim across. They seemed to enjoy it."

She says so far things have gone very well.

They have all their canola swathed and are working to get at least half-way finished before the rains hit this weekend.
