A neighbourhood of community artists will jam together Friday night with their cause going towards the Rowan House Women's Emergency Shelter.

Tanya Ryan, Lyndsay Butler, Duane Steele, Jake Matthews, Blake Reid, Madison Krebs and Dean Selby will all be a part of an acoustic concert show.

Rowan House Community Relations Coordinator Allie Cramm says the concert's admission will go back to them.

"This benefit concert is the brain child of Tanya Ryan who is a volunteer with the Rowan House and she's a great ambassador for us," she says. "The event is taking place Friday night at 7 p.m. at the Rotary Performing Arts Centre."

Tickets bought in advance are $25 and those who buy at the door Friday will cost them $30. The Rowan House won't be expecting any donations at the concert they won't say no to those who open their hearts

Cramm says it's a busy couple of days for entertainment for the Rowan House.

"The whole weekend is going to be a great festive weekend full of music for Rowan House. In terms of Tanya Ryan's concert and then the Big Rock Singers supporting us and we're just so appreciative of everything that people are doing to support us during the Christmas season."

As the Christmas season begins the Rowan House will be even busier than usual says Cramm.

"This is kind of our big drive to kind of get us into the new year in terms of donations in terms and basic necessities for the women and children. So we are just so grateful and I can;t express that enough."
