Okotokians got their first taste of winter this morning, and commuters had to remember their winter driving skills in a hurry.

Environment Canada issued a winter storm warning for the area yesterday, and the low pressure system has hit bringing snow and hazardous conditions.

Strong winds have also developed this morning with this system, blowing snow has reduced visibility in some areas.

In Okotoks we should see close to 20 cm of snow throughout the day which is expected to taper off this evening.

On a more positive note, the sun is back out tomorrow and we'll see a high of seven.
