Alberta Parks has issued an extreme avalanche danger advisory for Kananaskis Country

Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, Spray Valley Provincial Park and Bow Valley Wildland Provincial Park are experiencing extreme avalanche conditions.

Avalanches have the potential to reach valley bottom and possibly into mature forest near avalanche paths.

Avoid any backcountry use this weekend.

Groomed cross-country ski trails and ski hills are the suggested activities for the weekend.
