UCP Leader Jason Kenney gained a seat in the Alberta Legislature Thursday after winning the Calgary-Lougheed byelection.

Kenney Beat out six other candidates by a large margin in the landslide win.

He took 71 per cent of the vote, while the NDP finished a distant second at 16 per cent, and Liberal Leader David Khan was third with nine per cent.

The win means Kenney will have an opportunity to face Premier Rachel Notely in the legislature before the 2019 Provincial Election.
