It's time to dust off those boots and put on those Wranglers, as Stampede has kicked off again.

Carol Bishop, Part Owner of Boot Hill Gallery in Okotoks says they've seen business pick up in the past week with customers looking to cowboy up, visiting their western wear department.

"We're always busy this time of year, but last week was really busy with people coming in getting prepared."

Bishop shares, not much has changed in terms of stampede style for her, as most of her customers are sticking with the tried and true.

"I haven't noticed anything different coming in this year, but that's only because our customers usually stick with traditional country style." She says  "A lot of the cowboys do go for the wilder and fancier print shirts, but most times for people coming in for stampede, it's something traditional they're putting on."

According to the top 25 country Style boards on Pinterest, the most 'country' looks include dainty floral prints, faded plaid, and vintage boho styles.

It would seem hunters camouflage prints are in style this year. The leafy natural color is easy to match with anything in your wardrobe, and can be added as an accessory in the form of jewelry or hats.

However, if traditional is what you're aiming for, a breezy cotton button up short sleeve, paired with a light wash denim should keep you looking and feeling the coolest.

Bishop says there's no great way to beat the heat when wearing jeans and boots so it's best to stay in the shade.

"It's just about staying in the shade and hydrating. Clothing wise, there's not much you can do to help with heat. If you're in a pair of jeans and boots, you're going to be warm."

If heat is something you're concerned with, there's always a denim short/skirt option paired with a vintage t-shirt or tank top and a worn ball cap.

Ultimately, Bishop says, it's always about what's comfortable and looks good on you!
