Well many may be gripping and complaining about how snow they've shovelled over the past few days but there's probably just many raves for the great ski conditions that have occurred.

Record overnight amounts of snow hit the rockies and that has created the perfect atmosphere to shred some serious powder.

Senior Vice President of Marketing & Resort Experience for Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Matt Mosteller says Nakiska saw plenty of snow between Sunday night and Monday morning.

"Nakiska got 30 centimetres in a 24 hour period which is unbelievable," he says.

After an absolute bust of a ski season last winter, Mosteller says this snowfall will make up for it.

"One of the best storms in the last ten years and in the fact the biggest in 24 hours in a storm snow and you've heard from everybody all day, yesterday and today it's been ear to ear smiles and hooting and hollering."

With all 76 runs over and plenty of powder to show for it Mosteller expects some busy days ahead.

"That's creates incredible skiing or riding conditions and it really makes a perfect week but as well for Alberta family week it will be an incredible time to get out to Nikiska and should be an easy drive for everybody to enjoy their skiing and snowboarding."
