The Town of Turner Valley has seen a bit of a slowdown when it comes to residential and commercial building in 2015.

2014 was a banner year for the Town as they saw close to 10.5 million dollars in total construction, where so far this year that's down to around 6.5 million between commercial and residential.

Mayor Kelly Tuck says, they're still ahead of the curve.

"We're still seeing some nice building happening within the community. A little bit slower, yes. But I we don't believe that... I think we're going to see a slight change in our numbers but I think it's going to be comparable to what we saw last year."

Tuck says with only $150,000 dollars in commercial construction, more needs to be done to bring new business to town, but it's difficult with the Town not owning much of the land it actually sits on.
