High River RCMP were called to a complaint of a break and enter in the early hours of yesterday morning, February 10.

RCMP arrived at the Rainbow Esso at 701 11th Avenue SE in High River to an attempt of breaking into the ATM by a person or persons.

The culprits broke in through a wash bay area and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

While inside they also destroyed surveillance equipment and damaged the Telus box outside of the building.

Police believe the individual or individuals were spooked as it appears they fled the scene in a hurry.

High River RCMP are still investigating the crime but if anyone has any information on the incident there are asked to call the local detachment or Crime Stoppers.
