After two years of being out of commission because of the 2013 flood the High River Mini Putt which is being run by the Boys and Girls Club is open for business.

Director Shirley Puttock says it was a long time coming.

"We've been two years getting it ready but now we're open seven days a week, from noon until 8pm until the end of summer. We  received a Canada Summer Student Grant, and we have three students running the mini putt and maintaining it."

She says it's not your typical mini putt.

"It's a full 18 holes, we got those back in order and built some obstacles to make it a little more interesting. We're in partnership with the Foothills Youth Foundation who's letting us run the mini putt to raise some funds for the club."

She says they won't turn anyone away that wants to play even if they can't afford the cost of playing.

"We charge $10 for adults and $5 dollars for children, or just make a small donation or nothing at all. It's a tough year for everybody, we just want to be out in the community letting people know what we do."
