The Christmas season is in full swing at Granary Road.

Their first ever Christmas Market opened last weekend, it will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Dec. 23.

Jane Walter-Lockwood, Director of Business Development says the Christmas Spirit has spread across the artisan market.

"We are beyond excited, we are very much Christmas people and watching our market transform into this winter wonderland, and all of our amazing vendors take part in that, and decorate their booths. We've built a big Santa exhibit, all things that make people just really enjoy their time together, we've done that over the top at Granary Road this Christmas."

Granary Road has been open for just four months, Lockwood says its been gaining traction across the province.

"It's been a phenomenal response, we've just been open a few short months in the actual market, and people are coming from as far as Edmonton when they're coming to see their family and friends to check out these food vendors that they've heard about."

Lockwood adds Granary Road has added something for individuals of every age at their Christmas Market this year.

"We have Santa visits, a North Pole winter wonderland, we have alpacas with scarves that you can get your photos taken with, we have an assortment of new vendors that we've brought in with really cool ideas, and great gift ideas, we have roaming carollers, chestnut roasters, and a bunch of really fun things for families to come and do."
