The Sheep River Health Trust will be receiving a boost thanks to Quesada restaurant in Okotoks.

On Sept. 21 and 22, Quesada is offering burritos for $2 with funds going to the organization.

Billy Virk, part owner of Quesada in Okotoks, says doing the fundraiser for the health trust is an easy choice for the restaurant.

"Quesada's base is that we always support communities so it was natural for us. We decided that we would sell a $2 burrito and collect that money and give it to the health trust. It's basically giving back to the community."

Tanya Thorn, Representative for the Sheep River Health Trust, says the group was thrilled when Quesada approached them with the idea.

"That's something the trust really values is our partnerships with the businesses that exist in our community and this is a new partnership for us, but it's one of those ones where it allows us to give exposure to a new business that's in our community serving healthy fresh food," she explains. "It falls into that health mandate side of things and at the same time is returning back to us."

The Sheep River Health Trust uses the funds it receives to support local primary care facilities and numerous local health and well being organizations.
