The constant freeze thaw cycle can make for slick roads and sidewalks.

To help make sure residents don't slip on the ice, the Town of Okotoks is offering free sand.

All residents need to do is bring their own bucket and shovel.

Sand can be picked up at the Okotoks Eco Centre and both fire departments at 132 Milligan Drive and 98 Woodhaven Drive.
