Okotoks RCMP have released more details on the large police presence on South Railway Street yesterday, March 6.

Around 3:00 p.m. yesterday the general duty, general investigative section and in collaboration with RCMP Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and response team conducted a search of a residence.

The search warrant resulted in the arrest of two men, and two women who are facing property and drug related charges as follows:

27-year-old Cedrick Chouinard was arrested, and charged. He was released on his own recognizance awaiting first appearance for production of a controlled substance under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.

37-year-old Christopher Desjardin has been charged and remanded into custody pending bail hearing for possession of stolen property over $5000, theft under $5000 and failing to comply with a recognizance x 3.

A 28-year-old woman has been charged with possesion of stolen property over $5000, and theft under $5,000.

A 27-year-old woman is charged with possession of a controlled substance under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.

RCMP have not disclosed the women's names, both have been released awaiting their first appearance.

The investigation is ongoing.
