The Town of Okotoks recognized those who have made long-standing contributions to the community, Friday, June 16.

The town inducted four individuals into the Hall of Fame at the Okotoks Recreation Centre.

Marg Cox, former Town Events Coordinator was inducted, she says she's thankful for the recognition.

"I am so grateful and appreciative I can't really tell you how I feel. I'd like to thank the town of Okotoks certainly Mayor Bill Robertson, for even hosting this, this is the greatest idea in the whole world, I think it's just a wonderful event. I think it's really important that we acknowledge these folks."

Cox adds how honoured she is to have been a part of Okotoks for so long, and to have participated in so many events.

"I've had such an opportunity, I've been able to live, to work, to play and most of all to be able to volunteer within my own community my whole time since 1980. I'm really really proud of that, and very privileged to have been able to do that, and to be a part of this community, because I'm pretty passionate about it, Okotoks is just everything"

Paul Rockley, Bill McAlpine, and John Price were also inducted into the Hall of Fame.
