The head of the Foothills Foundation, which oversees seniors residences in the local area, says the priority right now is getting the 22 Soderberg residents home.

Lauren Ingalls, CAO of the Foundation, says that should be fairly quick.

"We anticipate that they'll be displaced for a maximum of 48 hours, we should be able to gather some of their belongings," she says. "We just need to make sure from a ventilation and smoke perspective and power and electricity that the building can be safely occupied."

In the meantime fire crews will be working to determine the cause of the fire.

Ingalls says the Foundation will work to determine where they go from here.

"Stabilizing the site, I mean what we have is a site that's been devastated by fire and we need to make sure that any demolition and stabilization and inspection and insurance needs to take place relatively quickly," Ingalls says. "We need to meet with our builder, of course there will be investigations behind the scenes actually ascertaining the cause and look at our next steps, what's left of the structure, what can be salvaged so we can assess and move forward as soon as possible."

Officials with the Foundation had just toured the facility Friday.
