The Foothills Country Hospice got some TLC this past weekend thanks to the 13th Annual Telus Day of Giving.

There were approximately 45 volunteers at the hospice this past Saturday, sprucing up the grounds for the residents to enjoy.

Stuart Mark, Operational Readiness Manager for Telus Business Transformation and Operations, says they have been spring cleaning at the hospice for a number of years.

" For the last six years, we've been coming here, and basically doing a spring garden clean up, mulching, weeding, staining some benches and cutting the grass," said Mark.

Between May 1st and June 30th, there are more than 34,000 volunteers who participate in 2000 volunteer events across Canada, driven by the philosiphy of giving back to the communities they work or live in.

" This is a once of year thing, just to get everybody out and doing something," Mark said.
