The Foothills Composite High School Aviation Club will be cooking up a pancake breakfast at the Okotoks Airport next Sunday, June third.

Volunteer for the event, Stacey Lock, says the breakfast is held to let flyers and residents know the airport is in full swing after a year-long closure, and to raise funds for the Aviation Club.

" It's to show case the Okotoks Airport. A lot of people are aware that is was closed for almost a year, and it's been re-opened now for just over a year. So, we want to invite other flyers and people from the town to come in and see the airport." said Lock.

The pancake breakfast will run from 8 am until noon, and a five dollar or more breakfast donation will benefit the future endeavours of the Foothills Composite Aviation Club.

Lock also says they hope to send students on a glider ride and help continue the program with the funds raised.

"They want to be able to take some of the kids out to Kunin and take them for a glide, and they will also be at the breakfast and have a table set up." she said.

Jazz Airlines has donated funds to the program as well, which were used to build a simulator that is now located in the school.
