Throughout the ten days of Stampede 4-H groups from around the Foothills have headed down to the grounds to set up and share their knowledge.

The groups have ranged from horse and cattle to rodeo and K9.

AJ Smith with the 4-H Foundation of Alberta says that having these groups come down is a fantastic opportunity.

"It is great to have groups like Millarville, Davisberg and Okotoks that are right around the Calgary community who can come out and tell kids how great of a program 4-H is."

By having the variety of clubs, including the life skills club come down it is showing that while 4-H is connected to its rural roots, there is still stuff to do, like build Lego.

Which Smith adds is a real project.

"There is so much more you can do with 4-H and we like to say whatever you are interested in, you can probably turn that into a 4-H project."

Adding that the best part of the experience is watching the kids talk about the program.

She says that members of the group are passionate about what they do and it is great to see them share that passion with the public.

"It is amazing to see how well these kids get out there and talk to all of the guests that are coming through."
