Five homes are among the structures that have been destroyed in the Kenow fire around Waterton Lakes National Park.

The MD of Pincher Creek says, besides the homes five out-buildings, two large sheds, a bridge on private property, fence lines, hay, and some power lines have been destroyed.

Weather patterns over the next two days are favourable, with a forecast of rain and little wind.

Residents, in the Twin Butte area are now permitted past the road blocks, although residents will have to register at the road block with the RCMP.

They'll be permitted access to their properties for approximately two hours to check on their homes and livestock before having to leave the area again.

Castle Mountain Resort remains under mandatory evacuation and there's still no access to those areas at this time.
