Instead of burning your turkey this weekend, opt for a campfire!

The fire ban has been lifted coming into the long weekend, and now we can enjoy mild backyard fire type weather.

Okotoks Fire Services lifted the fire ban earlier this week thanks to last weekends drop in temperatures and increase in precipitation.

Fire Permits are currently required for any type of burning within the town limits, except camp fires.

Safe campfires in approved pits are allowed for campgrounds and backyards.
