So much to do and only one day to do it in.

In the 27 years the Province of Alberta has been celebrating Family day communities have really grown to love it and celebrate it.

Here is a list of activities to take in.

 Okotoks

Organizers are encouraging you to get unplugged and take part in family activities like board games and hiking,

The town is hosting  free activities at the recreation complex, including swimming, skating and bouncy castles.

While it is free of chage they are accepting donations to help keep families in need active.

High River:

At the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex, many activities starting with beef on a bun and hot chocolate, skating, swimming, bouncy castles and other activities.

Events go from 1 to 4.

Nanton

Nanton is celebrating with a free family skating party at the Tom Hornecher Recreation Complex.

Along with the skating there will be hot dogs, hot chocolate, face painting, balloons and games. everything is free goes from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Bomber Command Museum of Canada will also be open 10 to 4 they are usually closed during the week in the winter.

Strathmore

The Town of Strathmore is having a big party, starting with a pancake breakfast and carnival at the Civic Centre, moving to the Kinsmen Park for an outdoors skating party, then to the Aquatic Centre for swimming.

Events start at 9 a.m. and go till 5 p.m.
