Those in need can still unwrap a merry Christmas thanks to My City Care Okotoks.

My City Care Okotoks is bringing back the Shop of Wonders this year where families get to pick gifts out from items that are donated by local businesses and residents.

Meghan Harvey, Director of My City Care Okotoks, says last year was the first time for the event and this year she's expecting to see higher numbers.

"Last year for our first year it was pretty big and exciting, so this year we're hoping to help even more families. We helped 50 kids last year have toys under their trees on Christmas Day so this year we're expecting a few more kids than that and we're ready for them."

Harvey says there are some specifics she's hoping to see come in for donations.

"We look for stocking stuffers under $20 and main toys over $20 for all ages. We do struggle with boys toys, but we're also looking for gift wrapping supplies and non-perishable food donations."

Businesses and residents looking to make donations to the Shop of Wonders can be drop them off starting at the end of November at the Alberta Dance Academy, Orange Theory Fitness Okotoks, Eyes360 Okotoks, Scott Mortgages in Black Diamond, and Aspen Crossing.

Families can register or be referred by clicking here or direct messaging My Victory Okotoks on Instagram.

The Shop of Wonders will take place Dec. 22.
