With Christmas around the corner in less than two weeks, residents may be looking for some help with holiday obligations.

Brad Fowler, Employment and Day Services Manager for the FAIM society, says their gift wrapping service is one of the ways they give back to the community.

"We've been in Okotoks since 2005, and the community has been really generous and supportive of our program. Like everybody else, we got caught up in the spirit of Christmas, and we were just looking at what we could do to give back," he said.

Lori Mortenson, Team Leader with the FAIM Society, says their participants really enjoy this task, and it helps raise funds for future programming.

"We have a number of individuals who really enjoy gift wrapping, so I think that's kind of a win win. It's a special time, but it can also be very hectic and busy, so it's just a way for us to help out," she said.

Residents can drop gifts off with their own wrapping paper between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon for same day service, and also have the option of delivery service.

The cost is two dollars per gift, or five dollars per gift with delivery. All proceeds will go towards future programming for the FAIM society.
