The Foothills Advocacy In Motion Society is thanking its donors, sponsors and the Dewdney Players for making their annual gala a huge success.

Fundraising and Communications Coordinator Lisa MacDougall says they even managed to exceed their goal.

"We all sat together and we thought $12,000 would be a really great target to hit and then when we tallied all the money we realized that we were well over $17,000 which was amazing." she says. "We got over a hundred businesses from High River and Okotoks that donated to our silent auction, so just from the silent auction alone we raised $8,000 so that was a big help too."

MacDougall says they have about a hundred clients with disabilities in High River, Okotoks and Strathmore so the money will go to programs that help them.

She says they usually move the gala around but this year's was such a success they may keep it at the DeWinton Hall for awhile.
