The Foothills Regional Landfill is about to bring back extended hours.

Starting Sept. 17, it will be open Mon.- Thurs. from 8:30 a.m.- 6:30 p.m., and Fri.- Sat. from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Large commercial loads won't be accepted after 4:30 p.m.

The hours have been extended for the purpose of residential loads of garbage, leaf and yard waste, and recycling.

The extended hours will be in place until Oct. 18.
