Grade 7-9 students at Ecole Okotoks Junior High showed their peers that they've got talent yesterday.

This year the show had 15 different performances ranging from dance, to acting, to singing.

Teacher Cheryl Hutton says students had the opportunity to showcase any talent they have.

"Its nice to open it up to a variety of talents, we don't really say what the talent has to be," she says. "We just open it up to the kids to come show us what they would like to perform in front of their group"

Teacher Lee Kennedy says the show gives students an opportunity to get learn things about each other, and it's not just students that find our their peers have hidden talents, it's teachers too.

"I think that kids enjoy watching their peers, they may not know that their classmate has a talent," she says. "I just think it opens the kids up to know a bit more about each other, definitely us as teachers, last year I had a couple of my own students audition and I had no idea that child could sing, or dance, or play the guitar."
