The Dewdney Players wrapped up their summer shows in Olde Towne Okotoks on Sunday.

The crew put on nine performances of Snow White over two weeks, with only one performance lost to rainy weather.

Ed Sands, President of the Dewdney Players, says even with some challenging weather at times, attendance was still high for the shows.

"Attendance was great, I'd estimate 300 on Saturday afternoon, and we had similar attendance on many of the other days," he says. "Some of the really hot afternoons might have been a little lower, but it still shows there's a market for summer shows in Okotoks."

Sands shares putting on the show took lots of people, but in the end it was a success, with some of the most incredible singing talent he'd ever seen from a community theatre production.

"We had 16 actors, and I always say that for every person on stage there's 3 back stage in the supporting function, and I think that number worked out accurate again. Usually there's 35 people supporting, that's directors, producers, stage managers, front of house, props, costume, painters, choreographers, there's so many people behind the scenes in these theatre shows."

He thanks everyone who came out to support the Dewdney Players.

There's no rest for the crew as they now start working on Arsenic and Old Lace, with the first show set at the RPAC on Nov. 10.
