The Dewdney Players are ready to entertain audiences with their Innovation Awakens One Act Plays.

Fiorentina Maione, artistic director, says tickets for the show will cover a wide variety of entertainment.

"You buy one ticket, one price, it allows you to see the four different shows," she says. "Different genres, different types of sets, experimental acting techniques, et cetera."

Maione says the four acts are a combination of drama and comedy.

"One play is called Anything For You and it's directed by one of our Dewdney Players directors and actors... then there's also Batbrains which is a bit of a dark comedy, we have an original piece called Trail Mix and Chips, then the last show is called Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen."

Once the Innovation Awakens finishes up in Okotoks it will hit the road to Canmore where it'll be a part of the Foothills Regional One Act Festival.

The festival takes place Apr. 29- 30 at Canmore's Miner Union Hall.

Maione says the Dewdney Players have a history with the festival and have a chance to move up to the provincial level.

"The best production of all the regions of Alberta go on to compete with nine other regions at the provincial festival and the Dewdney Players have won at both the regional and provincial level, both best actor and best actress, as well as best directors and outstanding production."

Tickets for the Okotoks performances can be purchased at the door or online by clicking here for $21 for adults and $15.75 for seniors.

The shows will be at the RPAC on Apr. 21- 23 at 7:30 p.m. and a matinee on at the 23 at 2:00 p.m.
