A busy Friday afternoon for Okotoks RCMP, Fire, and EMS as they responded to a collision between a vehicle and cyclist near MrCrae St. and Clark Ave.

The incident occurred around 3 p.m., Aug 11, RCMP Cpl. Cory Forsyth describes witness reports of the incident.

"A vehicle was traveling either east or westbound on McRae, and the bike jutted out on the crosswalk and the vehicle made impact with the cyclist."

Forsyth says the driver stayed on scene and assessed the cyclist immediately.

The cyclist was treated by EMS, and was transported off scene in stable, non-life threatening condition.

It is unclear if charges will be laid in this incident, as the investigation is ongoing.
