Construction for raised crosswalks in areas on Cimarron begins Monday, Oct. 23.

Two crosswalks on Cimarron Estates Drive, and two on Cimarron Estates Road will be raised after recommendations from the Traffic Calming Study.

The work will involve the removal of the existing crosswalks, patching them with asphalt, followed by the installation of the raised crosswalks complete with road markings and signage.

The contractor will begin first with work Cimarron Estates Dr., followed by Cimarron Estate Rd.

Crosswalk removals are expected to take two to three days and the installs are expected to take seven to ten days.

These estimated timelines are weather dependent.

Detour signs will be in place during construction.
