The town of Okotoks would like to warn residents of a cougar sighting in town earlier today near St. Mary's school.

RCMP, Municipal Enforcement and the town would like to remind residents to be cautious and remain aware of the presence of wildlife.

It is strongly advised not to approach any wildlife, and leave the area slowly if you happen to come upon a cougar. Keep pets on a leash and children in close proximity.

Contact RCMP or Muinicipal Enforcement if you happen to see the cougar anywhere else in town.
