The Foothills Composite High School and Alberta High School of Fine Arts celebrated their grads on Friday as they walked across the stage at the Pason Centennial Arena.

Students get fancy tonight to celebrate with a dinner and dance at the BMO centre in Calgary.

Mr. Gwilliam teacher and coach at the school says he hopes that students enjoy their time after high school.

"Good luck to all of our grads wherever they head off to in their future endeavors. I hope they have a wonderful time after graduation and enjoy their life, seeking their dreams."

English Teacher Ms. Weston-Stuart says she's also very proud of the class of 2017.

"Hey Grads, Congratulation! I want to wish you the very best, and make sure you come back to visit us in a few years to let us know about all the amazing things you've created, accomplished and have done in your life!"

Even office admin were in the congratulatory spirit.

"On behalf of the staff at Ecole Composite High school and Alberta High School of Fine Arts, we would like to congratulate you, our grads, on your hard work and accomplishments over the years. Continue to set goals and seek adventure as you continue to move forward in life."

Once all of the graduation buzz has died down, students will hit the books and study to pass their diploma exams.
