The first ever Okotoks Off The Vine Wine festival at Ethel Tucker Park was a great success this past Saturday.

Mark Doherty, Community Events Coordinator for the town of Okotoks, says there was incredible positive feedback from the community.

"What a great event for the first time, we're hearing nothing but positive comments," he said.

Doherty also says the town has been bustling this year with summer events almost every weekend, and it's great for Okotoks.

"It's been a busy summer, and great turn out at our events. That puts us on the map, and that's what we like to do," he said.

The adult-only event featured samples of many different wines, paired with different food options and an over-sized jenga game challenge.

Winefest took place on Saturday, along with Pop Up in the Park. To finish off the weekend, the Okotoks Show and Shine ran all day Sunday downtown on Elizabeth Street.
