When looking up the Okotoks Chamber of Commerce online, you'll soon see a change in its website.

The Chamber is pulling all the stops to bring its website to the next level and help serve local businesses better.

Chamber CEO Cheryl Actemichuk says the website will be that much easier to operate for chamber members.

"The great things that are happening with our website are, before we had to assign people a log-in and they'd have to go in and muddle their way through but with our brand new website it's software based that most of the chambers across the country are using," Actemichuk says.

Actemichuk says the website will be another way to help businesses grow in Okotoks.

"Basically it's a website within a website," she says. "So they'll  be able to go on and put anything they want to about their business. They can advertise if they're having a member discount, if they've got job postings they can advertise on our website, there's banner ads."

Actemichuk says the new website will be able help promote their business and recruit new staff.

"Interestingly enough in this economic time we still have people looking for staff," she says. "It's a really a much more interactive website than what we have before and will allow people to register and pay online and just really try to make it a lot more user friendly."

The Chamber hopes to have the new website fully functional by the end of the month.
