The Town of Okotoks is celebrating Canada Day with a variety of events on Friday.

The day will kick off with free swim and aquafit classes at the Okotoks Recreation Centre at 9:45 a.m.

Swim times for the entire day are as follows:

9:45 A.M.- 10:45 A.M. Free Parent and Tot Swim
10:00 A.M.- 10:45 A.M. Free Family Aquafit class
1:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Free Public Swim
1:30 p.m.- 3:30 P.M. Free Public Swim

A cake cutting with multicultural entertainment and children's games along with a bouncy castle will take place at the Rec. Centre as well starting at 11 a.m. If it rains the events will be moved inside the building.

Noon- Canada Day cake cutting
12:15 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.- food samples from different countries
11:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.- multicultural entertainment, dance and songs
11:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.- bouncy castles, games, face painting, and crafts for kids

The day will wrap up at Seaman Stadium when the Okotoks Dawgs host the Brooks Bombers. First pitch goes at 7:05 p.m. and the gate opens at 3:00 p.m. Fireworks will light up the sky at the stadium immediately when the game is over.
